PERSONAL CODE OF ETHICS (An Essay)

Every person should have his own personal code of ethics that will help them to mingle with different people that he will encounter in his everyday life.

For me, in order to make my own personal code of ethics, it is very important if we consider the following factors: First, we must be sensitive enough of the feelings of other people. It is very easy for a person to mingle or befriend someone if he is able to coordinate his feelings with others. Second, we need to believe in ourselves. Believing in our own strength makes us worthy of other’s trust. And by this, we gain confidence in ourselves. Third, we must show goodness in communicating with others. As a Filipino, I was raised in a community wherein youngsters use words of respect such as “po” and “opo” in speaking with the elders. By means of this people will be able to gain confidence to approach us because they will see to us that we are good people. Lastly, the most important factor to consider for they will help us in defining our own personal code of ethics is our strong spiritual life. God must be the center of our life. We must do anything for the greater glory of His name. We must offer everything we do so that in return, He will give us merits in heaven.

Living with a good personal code of ethics will help us to grow as a person.

But in the end, it still depends on us if we will use them in a good way. Life is transient. So, live life to the fullest!
